Design and Civil Rights | Ellen Lupton
Designers have helped fight for civil rights in the US, from the struggle for women's right to vote to battles for racial equality, marriage equality, and access for people with disabilities. Designers have engaged the public and helped create new laws. Now more than ever, designers raise awareness, unify communities, and seek justice for all. Ellen Lupton is faculty at MICA and Curator of Contemporary Design at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
