Join the Society of Design Arts (SoDA), AIGA Baltimore, and Stevenson University for this online event with Mike McQuade.
Mike McQuade pairs old magazine images with color blocks, numbers, and iconography to deconstruct the illustration process visually. That approach has since informed his commissions for the Wired, Atlantic, the New Yorker, New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Institutional Investor. McQuade uses Photoshop throughout his process to slice up scanned and created images, make grids, and organize hundreds of layers to form the final product. These days, he’s moving into the realm of collages with a 3D look.
