From Ulm to Apple: Modernist Industrial Design of Consumer Electronics

Considered the descendant of the Bauhaus, the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm was founded in 1955 on principles of clarity, order and process. The Product Design department pioneered the iconic design style adopted by Braun and later carried to Apple where it formed the basis for many iterations and refinements.
