The ABCs of ▲■●

The ABCs of ▲■●, first published in 1991, has been reissued by Princeton Architectural Press in a beautiful hardcover edition. Edited and designed by Ellen Lupton and Abbott Miller, the book traces the origins and impact of the Bauhaus in relation to design, psychoanalysis, geometry, early childhood education, and popular culture. The text is an exploration of the school’s aims and achievements, while the book itself is a manifesto of Bauhaus ideals, synthesizing editorial concept, typography, and craftsmanship. This collector’s volume celebrates the Bauhaus centenary.
